Another ACUSA meeting on August 17, 2008 will be held at Francis Estaris' Residence (in Lake Forest) at 12 noon. Main agenda will focus on our group's plan to help our kasimanwas in Antique who fell victim to typhoon Frank in June,  2008.

ACUSA is asking for donations of clothes, blankets, kitchen utensils, canned foods (please check expiry dates), etc. from kind-hearted Antiqueños in the U.S. To make collections of these items easier, please place your collected items in trash bags filled to not more than 50 pounds each to facilitate shipping and handling. The items will then be repackaged by L.A.-based ACUSA volunteers in balikbayan boxes for shipment to Antique, Philippines.Contact the following volunteer county coordinators and collectors:

Dr. Dubria, son of ACUSA officers Paterno (Culasi) and Lourdes Dubria, was a practicing medical doctor in 1991 when he was sentenced to life in prison without parole after being convicted of murder with rape by a trial jury in Vista, California. Dr. Sam Dubria is clearly a victim of a great injustice!
