 Who's who in ACUSA

PATERNO DUBRIA, JR.

 Pat was promoted to Director of Engineering for the 418th Flight Test Squadron at Edwards Air Force Base. He oversees testing of military cargo planes such as the C-17, C-130 and CV-22. Pat, Jr. formerly held the position of Director of Electronic Warfare Test Facility for 10 years.
    Pat is the son of Pat Dubria, Sr. of Culasi, Antique and Lourdes Girado of Bacolod City. Pat is married to former Lin-ay kang Antique 1982, May Salazar-Yap of San Jose, Antique. They have 2 lovely daughters, Nikki and Kara.

   Pat, Jr. holds a degree of B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
 


GLEN BANUSING-ORDINARIO

   
Specialist Glen Ordinario, Company D, 232D Medical Batallion, U.S. Amedd Center and School was awarded the ARMY ACHIEVEMENT MEDAL for exceptional meritorious achievement. He distinguished himself by achieving the HIGHEST GPA of 95.25% and a physical fitness score of 255. Glen is the son of Proceso Ordinario of Pangasinan and Linda Banusing Ordinario of San Pedro, San Jose, Antique.
 


PARREÑAS CHILDREN SCORE
 

   Two of the eight Parreñas children lately scored highly in academe.

   Rhanee, while raising her twins at the same time, will graduate with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Women’s studies, SUMMA CUM LAUDE, from UC Berkeley.
    Her younger sister, Rheana (Juno) who was once Miss Hope for ACUSA, USA, won a four-year full scholarship to Harvard University. She is enrolled in a Ph.D. program in anthropology and has just completed her first full year of studies. She will spend the summer in Indonesia to do research.
    Meanwhile, Rolf returns to the USA from the Philippines with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. He and his wife, Sharon have a three-week old baby boy, Javier Rolf Rhante.
    Celine continues to be a professor at UC Santa Barbara. Rhacel is now with UC Davis as a professor of Women’s Studies. She is currently on a six months stint in Tokyo, Japan as part of her world tour lecture series on her second book about the globalization of the family sponsored by the Rockefeller Foundation and the United Nations.

   Risha who holds a law degree from University of California Davis is in Washington, DC as a researcher for the Center for Equity.

   They are the children of the former Cecilia Salazar of San Jose, Antique and Dr. Florante Parreñas, Ph.D., County Commissioner of San Bernardino/Riverside and ACUSA PRO, respectively.
